Author Guidelines
Manuscripts to be considered for publication must meet the following requirements and guidelines:

The submitted article must be an original work of the author and must not have been previously published in any scientific journal or book. Manuscripts may be written in either Indonesian or English.

The article should present research findings or scholarly studies related to, but not limited to, Islamic finance, classical and contemporary Islamic economic thought, zakat and waqf management, the halal industry, Islamic digital economy, sharia-based entrepreneurship, and economic policies grounded in Islamic values. In addition, El-Ubaid welcomes scholarly works examining local economic practices inspired by local wisdom—particularly those developing in the Tanoh Gayo and Aceh regions—within the framework of maqashid al-shariah and social justice.

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the writing guidelines provided in the template, which can be downloaded here (Template). The article length should be a minimum of 8 pages and a maximum of 22 pages.

Submissions must be uploaded as document files in RTF (Rich Text Format) or Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.

Each author is required to have an account in order to submit an article. Authors who do not yet have an account must register via the Register menu and ensure that the Author role is selected when completing the registration form. After obtaining an account, authors may log in, click New Submission, and follow the submission steps accordingly.

All manuscripts are reviewed anonymously by reviewers appointed by the editors according to their respective areas of expertise. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be delivered in writing via email. Authors are given one week to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ and editors’ recommendations.

Any matters related to citation permissions, the use of computer software in manuscript preparation, or other issues associated with intellectual property rights (IPR), including any legal consequences arising from them, are the full responsibility of the author.
General Article Format

Article Title: The title must use Bookman Old Style font, 14 pt, bold, with Capitalized First Letters of Each Word.

Abstract: Provided in two languages (Indonesian and English), including the research objective, method, and findings, with a length of 100–200 words.

Keywords: Written in alphabetical order, consisting of 3–5 words or phrases.

Introduction: Contains background, theoretical review, problem formulation, gap analysis, novelty or state of the art, and concludes with the research objective. The gap analysis explains the discrepancy between das sollen and das sein, while the novelty section describes the position of the study in relation to previous research (literature review).

Research Method: Describes the research design, type, methods, approach, subject/object or population and sample, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods used in the study.

Results and Discussion: Presents an analytical explanation of the research findings to provide answers or solutions to the research problem.

Conclusion: Summarizes the answers to the research objectives or the principal findings obtained. The conclusion should not merely repeat the results and discussion but should concisely present the essential outcomes expected from the study.

References: Must follow APA 7th edition style and be managed using reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.
