PALUM: Islamic Community Development Journal is a scholarly journal published by the Islamic Community Development Study Program, Faculty of Sharia, Dakwah, and Ushuluddin, IAIN Takengon. The journal serves as a platform for disseminating research, critical studies, and community engagement practices in the field of Islamic community development. The journal aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in social-religious development, particularly in addressing contemporary societal challenges through interdisciplinary and applied approaches.

To become a leading study program that initiates professional human resources in the field of socio-religious development and is adaptive to global changes for community empowerment.

- To provide quality education in producing graduates who are experts in socio-religious fields.
- To develop applied research and studies relevant to socio-religious issues and global developments in order to produce beneficial solutions for society.

PALUM Journal focuses on studies related to Islamic community development, including but not limited to:

- Gender and social inclusion in Muslim societies
- Sustainable development in Islamic perspective
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to PALUM: Islamic Community Development Journal undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
The review process evaluates the originality, significance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field of Islamic community development. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team will decide whether the manuscript is accepted, revised, or rejected.
The final decision of manuscript acceptance is determined by the Editor-in-Chief.
Language
Manuscripts must be written in clear and academic English or Bahasa Indonesia.
Publication Frequency
PALUM: Islamic Community Development Journal is published biannually, in June and December.
Author Fees
PALUM does not charge any submission or publication fees.
Plagiarism Screening Policy
All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software, Turnitin. The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism, including self-plagiarism. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.
Publication Ethics
PALUM adheres to publication ethics standards to ensure the quality and integrity of scholarly publishing. Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to uphold ethical behavior in all stages of the publication process.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving Policy
The journal ensures long-term digital preservation of its content through reliable archiving systems.
